So many things make me happy! My family, my work - and of course - you, my dear students! And I want to hear what makes you happy, but I want to hear you say it in Hebrew! So, how would you say "... makes me happy"? maybe you're thinking of the verb "to make" - "לעשות", that we use in English. But actually, in Hebrew, "to make someone happy" is it own verb! It's "לשמח", and it conjugates just like any other verb!
Let's look at a few examples:
⮞ I want to make my family happy - אני רוצה לשמח את המשפחה שלי (audio # 1)
⮞ My cats makes me happy - החתולים שלי משמחים אותי (audio #2)
⮞ That made us very happy - זה שימח אותנו מאוד (audio #3)
⮞ It will me her happy to hear from you! - זה ישמח אותה לשמוע ממך! (audio #4)
⮞ Our wedding made us very happy - החתונה שלנו שימחה אותנו מאוד (audio #5)
⮞ I will make my friends happy - אני אשמח את החברים שלי (audio #6)
